a safe space to pause...breathe...heal... and reignite your inner fire
Danielle Smith, BSW, MSW, LSWAIC

Hello, I'm Dani and I am so honored you are here.

My Philosophy on Healing

You are a whole human with a unique mind-nervous system-body-soul connection. You have your own thoughts, experiences, attachment wounds, stories, needs, goals, and purpose. Healing isn't linear and neither are you—this process will be slow and at times painful, but you are not alone. In my role as therapist, I am here to support, not rescue, you. You have inner knowing even if you're disconnected from that part of yourself right now. Generational, gestational, and childhood patterns show up for us all in different ways, and you get to decide which ones to keep and which ones to honor and change.

My Approach

Is always evolving to bring evidence-based, psycho-educational, and ethical therapy services to you. Over our work together, I'll blend multiple modalities, techniques, and education in real time based on what actually works for YOUR nervous system, YOUR life, and YOUR goals.
The longer we work together, the more attuned we become. Eventually, we'll have enough material to map your nervous system, sit with past versions of yourself to understand the patterns showing up in your life now, honor and change patterns that no longer serve you, and—at your pace—build your personalized healing toolkit together.
Together, we will honor the past, discover what resonates now and leave behind what doesn't anymore, and find a path forward.

The Therapeutic Relationship

One of the most powerful tools we have as therapists is the therapeutic connection we build with clients, rooted in safety, trust, vulnerability, honesty, understanding, competence, and radical acceptance. If it doesn't feel right—keep looking. There are too many amazing therapists and healers out there for you to be settling for "good enough."

What to Expect

Healing is hard, honest work—and a meaningful investment of your time, energy, and money. If you’ve been holding everything together for a long time, you don’t have to do that here.

To get the most out of therapy, it’s about showing up not just in sessions, but in your daily life. Real change happens in the in-between moments—the insights, the discomfort, and the small, brave choices to do things differently.

I can’t promise specific outcomes. Therapy is personal and sometimes challenging—it can feel harder before it feels better. But that’s often part of real, lasting change.

What I can promise is that you won’t be alone in your self-exploration. Choosing this path takes courage, time, trust, and a variety of resources—there’s space here for you whenever you’re ready.
